A branch of Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA, the Big Bend YMCA project is being developed in a series of stages. Stage 1, completed in Spring 2015, includes five multipurpose athletic fields, a covered basketball court, playground, picnic pavilion, parking and a 1-mile fitness trail. Phases 2 and 3 include an aquatics center and full-wellness center respectively. Families will benefit from the child watch and kids adventure center and health-seekers will benefit from expansive studio space and cardio and strength-training areas. This $8.5 million, 35,000 sf campus of new amenities and facilities is creating a legacy for the residents of South Shore Florida.
